1960 Chris Craft Capri “POSER” (Hull n. 00930)

The Capri It is the most sought after model of the Chris Craft runabouts, as it shares the hull with the legendary Cobra, while being able to carry up to 5 people in full comfort.

When bought in 2009 from the first and only owner (a Count from Venice), the boat was still in very good preserved condition, but owner decided to have it “sympathetically” restored (at a cost exceeding 35.000 Euro!) by the late Giacomo Lazzari from Credaro (close to lake Iseo), who was chief carpenter at Cantiere Riva in the sixties and then became the most skilled and recognized Riva restorer.

To be noted, that the boat has had such a “cherished” life since new, that it still retains– in perfect condition - the factory original seats and interior fittings!!

It retains its original Chris Craft 185 hp engine fully rebuilt (just run in) and comes with double wool/canvas covers, the ladder and a brand new wooden cradle.

Whilst being the equivalent of an Ariston (however, Lazzari himself had to admit that wooden Chris Crafts are better built than Rivas!), here in Europe the Capri is less known:
